DAY1: Arrival in Esrange

After traveling for six hours we finally arrived yesterday at the Esrange Space Center in Kiruna, where the launch of HACORD will take place in a few days. The Swedish Lapland welcomed us with a small snowfall.

This morning started with a presentation about the strong safety regulations on the site. With balloon and rockets launching every week, everyone needs to be alert.

After the practical issues each team was installing itself in its own working area inside the dome, where we will prepare the experiment for the launch. Since our experiment was arrived already a week earlier, we had now the chance to verify that nothing was damaged during its shipment. Afterwards we already had the oportunity to mount our experiment on the gondola and to check the central voltage supply. With a succesfull result we were done for today.
